Welcome. Founded in 2010, the EPIC5 Challenge is a USAT sanctioned event consisting of 5 Iron Distance Triathlons, on 5 Hawaiian Islands, in 5 Days. As featured in Jason Lester’s book “Running on Faith” and Rich Roll’s book “Finding Ultra”, the EPIC5 Challenge is an unprecedented athletic journey and a once in a lifetime triathlon adventure. When can I apply?
Anytime. We are currently accepting applications for the 5-9 September 2017, and 5-9 May 2018 events.
5-9 May 2017 is at full capacity.
How many participants will you accept?
Historically we’ve selected 5 athletes. However, going forward we’ve expanded our capacity up to 14 participants.
What are we looking for in potential candidates?
We are looking for… good people… good teammates… and accomplished “never-stop” athletes.
What steps are involved in the application process?
Step 1 – APPLICATION – Submit your application below. In turn, you will receive a confirmation email from us that we have received your application.
Step 2 – INTERVIEW – If we have spots still open and we deem you would be a suitable candidate, we will email you to arrange a 15 minute interview.
Step 3 – REVIEW – We will do a final review of your qualifications with our Board of Directors and then let you know our decision via email.
Step 4 – AGREEMENT – If you are offered a spot in our event, we will forward an Athlete Agreement for you to review & sign.
Step 5 – ENTRY FEE – A $1000 deposit is due within 15 days of you receiving the Athlete Agreement. $3250 is due seven months prior to your event. The remaining balance of $3250 is due four months prior to your event. All payments are non-refundable.
