Invizimals takes advantage of the Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable) camera to capture images of the real world that can become embedded in a virtual world.
Invizimals was inspired by Pokemon. The game is able to create some monsters and the gamers must capture them, take care of them and help them to grow up in order to face other monsters (of other gamers). The point is the gamers must persecute the monster through a physical space and take a picture of them to capture their image and add them to the game.
The game will be available for sale in December (for Christmas) and it will be published by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE). Invizimals also uses the microphone and motion sensors, since if the gamers shake the console, then an earthquake will be caused, at least in the virtual world.
Novarama was founded in 2001 by Daniel Sanchez-Crespo, who is currently the Director of a Master’s Program in video games (Pompeu Fabra University). He has also developed several games for other important video game publishers and developers such as Ubisoft.
