Tiene 15 años y creó un calzado que genera electricidad
Angelo Casimiro es filipino y ha resuelto, de manera simple y práctica, la carga de las baterías de los dispositivos móviles.El invento es tan original como práctico. Se trata de una especie de plantilla con un generador eléctrico incorporado.

Se puede ubicar en cualquier calzado y se activa con la presión que ejerce el talón al caminar. Luego, la energía puede canalizarse a cualquier cosa, desde una luz hasta un cargador de baterías.Uno de los objetivos del sistema es dar electricidad a las regiones de Filipinas que no tienen suministro. Esto podría ser utilizado en muchas regiones pobres a lo largo del mundo.Angelo Casimiro, el inventor, decidió presentar su proyecto en la Feria de Ciencia 2014 de Google. Para eso armó un video en YouTube."El proyecto es ideal para la ropa inteligente y vestimenta deportiva que se pueda sincronizar de forma inalámbrica con tu smartphone o tu smartwatch", explica en el video.

Según sus cálculos, en su actual estado de desarrollo, el sistema permite cargar una batería de 400 miliamperios hora con ocho horas consecutivas de ejercicio. Evidentemente, necesita ser mejorado para que sea más efectivo.Su expectativa es que en un futuro reciente los grandes fabricantes de calzado deportivo incorporen una versión más avanzada de su generador en las zapatillas.

OUTDOORS Runbell lets runners "ping" other pedestrians

The Runbell is designed to let runners alert walkers to their presence, without having to yell

Although some urban cyclists may think that bike bells are fussy and unnecessary, those of us who use them will tell you that they're much easier and less confrontational than yelling "On your left!" at pedestrians. Well, the Runbell is designed to let runners in on the bell action.

The Runbell's grip is made from brass-electroplated aluminum, while the bell itself is solid brass. The whole thing weighs in at around one ounce (30 g), and is worn on the index and middle fingers like ... well, like a partial set of brass knuckles. The spring-mounted striking mechanism is operated by the thumb, and silicone sizing inserts are included that can be removed for use with gloves.

Will runners wonder how they ever made do without it? Probably not, although if you've ever been surprised by a runner suddenly passing you from behind on a sidewalk or trail, you can probably at least see its attraction – and flipping your thumb is certainly preferable to shouting at walkers' backs repeatedly.

Tokyo-based entrepreneur Kevin John Nadolny is currently raising production funds for the Runbell, on Kickstarter. A pledge of US$25 will get you one, when and if they're ready to go.
