Una empresa española inventa una revolucionaria alarma de bicis low cost

Un grupo de estudiantes de ingeniería informática de la Universidad de Burgos han creado un revolucionario sistema para evitar los robos de bicicletas denominado Alfaprotect que ‘amenaza’ con ponérselo muy difícil a los ladrones.


Alfaprotect permite al usuario instalar una alarma en su bici y controlarla con un mando a distancia. El dispositivo reacciona ante cualquier intervención externa, con un sensor sensible al movimiento y activa una alarma de 90 decibelios que disuade al posible ladrón.



Los inventores aseguran si ha sido por un leve movimiento involuntario, la alarma se apaga en 15 segundos. Además incluye un servicio de identificación a través de RFID, que dota a la bicicleta de un número de serie único que se emite por ondas de radio.


El dispositivo de seguridad Alphax1 se sitúa en un rango de precio de 35 euros pero no es capaz de comunicarse con el teléfono móvil. Alfaprotect baraja una evolución del producto con GPS y la posibilidad de recibir avisos en el móvil con una tarifa de datos, pero eso significaría "un coste de 150 euros, lo que no es viable para una bici con un precio de menos de 300".

Los primeros prototipos de la alarma para bicis estarán listos en dos meses, una pena porque no llegarán a tiempo para la campaña navideña, pero "es materialmente imposible tener la idea a mediados de noviembre y producir el dispositivo para el 24 de diciembre o el día de Reyes”.

Theft in Team LAMPRE-MERIDA service course

Team-Lampre service corse in Usmate Velate (Mb – Milan) has been broken into and robbed of all bicycles, accessories and material between the night of Saturday 23 Novembre and Monday 25 Novembre.

The thieves forced themselves through a window of the blue-fuchsia-green team warehouse, and broke in by destroying the alarm system, telephone system and internet connection, then continued on to clear the warehouse and team vehicles of all valued materials, aiming mostly at the bicycles and accessories, all the material is personalised for the team and identifiable by code:

Merida Time Trial Warp Bicycle, team colour, complete with wheels and groupset
Merida Reacto Evo Bicycle, team colour, complete with wheels and groupset
Merida Ride Bicycle, team colour complete with wheels and groupset
Merida Scultura Bicycle, team colour complete with wheels and groupset
Merida Frames
Shimano Di 2 Dura Ace groupsets (Electronic)
Fulcrum Carbon wheelsets in personalised Lampre- Merida colour, in all verious models, TT Disc wheels and all other carbon models (80 mm-50 mm-35 mm e light – 25 mm)
Selle San marco saddles all from 2013 season and all Prologo saddles all for 2014 season.
Power meter systems: SRM power meters from 2013 season and Rotor power meter crank system with Garmin computer for the 2014 season.
All spare parts and accessories
as well as a small truck and team car were stolen

in the first hours of monday morning the Monza and Arcore police were present to do all the neccesary steps that need to be done in these circumstances and are working on a hopeful recovery of material.

This is a huge loss for team Lampre-Merida, as the bicycles were all ready for distribution to the various riders in there first training camp of Decembre, thus creating logistics problems for future consignment of the bicycles for the 2014 season.

All the material is easily identified as it is all personalised for team use and thus the team is hopeful of recovering as much material as possible.
