Josè Manuel finaliza el ironman 42 que casi le cuesta la vida..
#im365x42 FINALIZADO!! El Ironman más complicado que he conseguido acabar. La 1a hora de la bici llevaba menos de 24 kms/h. Muchísimo viento lateral en un circuito con mucho tráfico. Por 3 veces un golpe de viento me ha "tirado" al centro de la carretera. En la última, dos segundos antes me ha adelantado un coche. Si ese coche hubiera pasado 3 o 4 seg. más tarde no estaría escribiendo esto. Me he parado en el avituallamiento y quitado el casco con la intención de irme para casa ya que no es cuestión de jugarse la vida. Era el km. 33. Con los jueces hemos decidido ir a un lugar más seguro como el circuito de ayer por el camí vell de Muro. Más o menos el mismo viento pero mucho más seguro. Me he cruzado con un montón de amigos tanto en la bici cómo corriendo que me ha dado mucho ánimo para continuar. Tiempo total 12h 41 min Natación 1h 02m Bicicleta. 6h 42m Maratón. 4h 24m Superado los 41 Ironman en un año de la persona que más Ironman ha hecho: Vicenzo Catalano. Todavía lejos de los 52 Ironman de mi amigo Ricardo Abad.

Stages Power non-drive side power meter with FSA's hollow-forged alloy Energy model base crank arm in both MegaEXO 24mm and BB30 bottom bracket interface options.Stages announced the addition of three new models to its Stages Power line on Monday, nearly a year to the day after the company’s formal debut at Interbike in 2012.The company will complement its line of Shimano crankarms with the addition of an Ultegra 6800 model, joining the Dura-Ace 7900 and 105 arms currently available. Two new FSA models, covering both the MegaExo and BB30 bottom bracket standards, will also be available.
The Stages meter is permanently attached to a left-side crank arm, calculating power based on the flex of that arm. The technology only works with aluminum cranks, and only measures power generated by the left leg, but the Stages meters are also among the least expensive on the market. It features a temperature compensation system that keeps power readings consistent as temperature fluctuates, and adds less than 20 grams to total crankset weight.
The Ultegra 6800 model will be available in November, and will be followed by the FSA options around the beginning of 2014.

Stages power meters
Stages power meters range from $700-900, depending on your crank arm. The lowest prices are for left-side crank arms only, although the company does also sell complete crank sets. That makes Stages the least-expensive power meter on the market (Cycle-Ops’ PowerTap hubs start at $900, not including the rest of the wheel). Add an ANT+ head unit (or smartphone app) and you could be training with power for less than half the cost of most competitors
