Tony Martin ha renovado el título de campeón de Mundo contra el crono. El alemán se ha impuesto por apenas 5" al joven Tylor Phinney (EEUU). Estos dos ciclistas han sido los únicos en completar los 45km en menos de una hora. Tercero ha sido el bielorruso Vasil Kirienka (a 1'44"). Contador, que fue doblado por Martin, acabó 9º a 2'30" y Castroviejo 22º a 3'23".
